I have a book coming out again!?
...in which I freak out that it's somehow impossibly, already fall?
Happy 2022! I know, it’s been ages since I’ve sent a newsletter… a whole year in fact. But in my defense, its been a busy one! I’ve written two whole books in that time and am gearing up to release my debut adult romance, BUILT TO LAST on October 18th!
So without further ado, let’s catch up!
BUILT TO LAST, out 10/18 from Griffin
"I loved this delightful romance about makeovers of old homes, old personas, and relationships that never had a chance to launch. A sweet, charming reminder of what you can build with a strong foundation." - Jodi Picoult, #1 New York Times bestselling author of The Book of Two Ways
Erin Hahn's Built to Last is a sparkling second chance romance about owning what you’re worth and fighting for the one who got away.
Shelby Springfield has spent the last ten years trying to overcome her past, sanding it away like the rough spots on the vintage furniture she makes over. But as a former child star, it’s hard to forget a widely documented meltdown and huge public break up with her former co-star Lyle Jessup. It’s also hard to forget her other co-star and childhood sweetheart, Cameron Riggs—the one who got away.
Anytime Shelby has called, Cameron has come running… And then he runs right off again to chase stories around the world by making documentaries, too scared to admit what he really wants. But when Lyle stirs the pot, getting the two back in the spotlight with a home renovation show, Cameron can't help but get on board.
There's something in it for everyone—almost. Cameron wants to set down some roots. Shelby wants to prove she's not the messy party girl anymore. And a jealous Lyle can’t help but try to get in the way. But for his two childhood friends who had more chemistry than he could ever dream of, nothing is getting in the way of their second chance at love.

Make sure you leave reviews! Authors love reviews! They won’t read them, but they love them! :)
Did you know???
Shelby and Cameron’s love story Built to Last is just the beginning! Country music’s fallen starlet, Lorelai Jones will be back in book two, out fall 2023, and our favorite beauty queen/park ranger, Maren will return and get her own happily ever after in book three, out fall 2024, all from Griffin Books, SMP Romance!
My fourth YA officially has a title and is making its way to some very lucky early readers…
A grieving bull rider and burdened barrel racer become best friends and eventually more… I can’t wait for my readers to meet Case and Winnie!
Finally, what I’m into, currently…
Watching: Mr. Hahn has gotten me reluctantly involved in the (old) series FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS. Open eyes, full hearts, can’t lose or something like that. We have a football player in our house so this is my life now. :) I’ve also started rewatching old seasons of GBBO for seasonal comfort and recently binged the entire TWILIGHT series with my daughter as a right of passage. TEAM EDWARD. Ahem.
Reading: I just finished Sarah MacLean’s latest, HEARTBREAKER which was excellent as always and am currently devouring the latest from one of my favorites, India Holton’s THE LEAGUE OF GENTLEWOMEN WITCHES. I am eagerly awaiting for my birthday gift to myself, THE DEVIL IN THE WHITE CITY. I’ve been obsessed with HH Holmes for ages and can’t wait to be terrified.
Listening to: Mister Hahn and I went to see a bluegrass show last spring and the opening band was the Infamous Stringdusters and I loved them twice as much as the band we originally came to see. They have a cover of Just Like Heaven that is delightful and I am POSITIVE Luke and Vada would approve. I’m also loving on Miranda Lambert’s latest album Palomino that’s done wonders to inspire both of the books I wrote this year, (since they both happen to have a real twang to them).
Eating: Ugh. Does anyone want to talk about food right now? With two preteens both in middle school sports this fall, groceries are the bane of my existence. But this weekend, I’m headed downstate for a ladies weekend with my mom and sister to celebrate birthdays and just love on each other and WE ARE EATING AND DRINKING WINE. Presumably. :)
Hope you’re all safe and well!
Love, Erin
Out just in time for my birthday! I'm excited :) I just recently watched Friday Night Lights myself (for the first time). Absolutely loved it.
